Revised and simplified camera layout options. The new “align to grid” option on
the layout edit right-click menu implements a completely new algorithm that ensures
optimal coverage while maintaining a clean “grid” appearance. Several new features come
along with this:
The “quick layout” options are now persistent modes—cameras may now be drag/dropped
into featured positions rather than having to constantly reapply this feature when cameras
are rearranged.
New quick layout options for a center camera (large or small) available in “align to grid”
mode only.
Many options on the layout edit right-click menu may be applied to multiple cameras
simultaneously by first shift-clicking a group of cameras. Hold shift until a command is
selected.
A new “bit exact” setting for scaling on Settings/Other allows camera windows to be drawn
closer together. When not selected, windows must have widths of multiple of 8 pixels as
was previously the case. This may cause some systems to use a bit more CPU. However
even when enforcing the 8-pixel requirement, enhancements have been made to expand
rather than shrink windows where possible. When combined with aspect/fill modes, 100%
screen usage is possible even with disparate camera aspects and resolutions.
